How does it work?

Step 1_c.png

A 'no obligation' conversation

Drop me an email to get the ball rolling, and we can arrange to have a Zoom/Teams conversation to discuss your needs and how we might be able to work together.

Step 2_c.png

A proposal

Based on our initial conversation, I'll draw up a draft contract outlining the support I feel I can offer you, including timescales and fees.

Step 3_c.png

Get started

Once we have a signed contract in place, we can get some dates booked into the calendar and get cracking!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you charge?

I charge by the half-day or day, and my fees vary depending on your charity's turnover. I invoice every two months for all days worked in that period.

Do you come to our offices?

I'm based in Germany and generally work remotely, with regular phone, email and Zoom/Teams conversations with clients. However, I come to the UK from time to time, and can arrange meetings, training sessions or simply office days as needed during those visits. With enough notice, these can often be arranged around significant meetings or other events where it would be helpful for me to attend.

What sort of charities do you normally work with?

I have worked with a wide range of charities and causes in a number of different ways. Whether you're a fledgling local charity, just setting up and wanting help to get started with your governance and fundraising processes, or you're a well-established national charity which has identified a need to make some changes to its fundraising activities or simply needs to bridge a gap in bid-writing capacity – I can offer support and experience to make your job easier.

Is our information treated confidentially?

Of course! I will never share any internal documents or information – including bids or other documents I may write for you – with anyone else without your permission.

What happens if you work with one of our competitors?

It can often be an advantage if I have experience of working with other organisations who do similar work: it means I can bring that understanding to the work we do together. However, I understand that sometimes this may be viewed as a conflict of interest. During our initial conversation, and while we are working together, if I am working with – or have recently worked with – another organisation in your field or area, I will let you know. If I'm working with other clients on a bid or bids to the same funders, I will also let you know. As always, all information, documents and conversations we have will remain confidential and will not be passed on to other clients.
